Acrylic polymer for mortar and micro-concrete additive
Hard Defense Max is an Acrylic Polymer to be an Additive for smoothing mortars, flooring and micro-concrete, increasing its surface adherence. In addition, it increases the material flexibility, waterproofs and assure higher abrasive resistance.
No risk of flanking
Due to its composition with premium raw material, it assures higher adherence even in surfaces with few porosities.
Never more cracks
It provides flexibility to the substrate, and it can follow the structural movements, preventing possible retraction cracks.
Say goodbye to infiltrations
The acrylic polymer present in its composition assures waterproofing to the substrate, preventing infiltrations.

1. MORTAR AND MICRO-CONCRETE ADDITIVE
1.1 Adherence bridge
Before applying the mortar or micro-concrete, it is necessary to make the adherence bridge between the substrate and the product to be applied. For this application, it is necessary to follow the application instructions below.
STEP 1: The surface that will receive the mortar and/or micro-concrete should be free from grease, oil, and be clean.
STEP 2: Apply the adherence bridge according to the ratio below:
1 part of Hard Defense Max| 3 parts of water | 1 part of cement | 2 parts of sand.
Application suggestion: The adherence bridge needs to be always wet to have the sub-floor or micro-concrete, then, if the application is in a very large area, prepare the liquid products mix (HARD-DEFENSE MAX and water) separately from the solids (cement and sand.
STEP 3: Launch 0.5 liters/m² of the liquid components mix on the surface; then launch 0.5 liters/m² of the solid components mix and sweep it to make the products mix.
Then, apply the sub-floor or micro-concrete, always wet on wet.
1.2 Ratio suggestion – SUB-FLOOR
CEMENT AND SAND MORTAR
The ration suggested below has a yield of 12m² with thickness of 1 cm.
Consumption of HARD-DEFENSE MAX is 0.83kg/m² to each thickness of 1 cm.
1 sack (50 kg) of Portland cement
6 cans of medium sand
10 kg/liters of acrylic resin HARD-DEFENSE MAX
Water as required (ideal factor 0.7 A/C)
1.3 Ratio suggestion – MICRO-CONCRETE
For high-resistance industrial floors and with thickness higher than 10 mm, use the ratio for micro-concrete.
The ration suggested will have a yield of 15m² with thickness of 1 cm.
1 can of Portland cement ¹;
2 cans of medium sand;
2 cans of grit or crushed stone (load) ²;
0.5 can of fine sand;
3.6 kg/liters of acrylic resin HARD-DEFENSE MAX;
Water as required (ideal factor 0.6 A/C).
¹ For locations that need resistance to chemical attack pH > 3,5 – such as: Cold stores, Sugar and Alcohol Industry, Dairy products, S.T.S. and T.C. (containment tanks) use Aluminum cement. Solutions for locations with temperatures from -15°C to 100°C.
² Load with size of 1/3 of the floor thickness, (E.g. Floor with thickness of 15 mm, loads with diameter up to 5 mm should be used).
