Making our customers’ lives easier through innovation and in a sustainable way is a duty taken seriously by Hard Group. This commitment to sustainability is an important part of our daily activities, and has led Hard to develop actions on three fronts: environment, philanthropy and volunteering.
Hard Group plays its role to preserve the environment and the world’s natural resources, developing actions to minimize the impact of its activities on nature. See below are some of those initiatives:
• Exclusive Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) at our headquarters, in order to have all liquid waste and other toxic materials properly treated;
• Reuse of water treated by the ETP, generating an expected savings of 2 million liters of water in 16 months;
• Disposal of solid waste with accredited companies;
• Measurement of the level of volatile organic solvents in Hard products through LEED Tested, a certification valid in 143 countries.
The certainty that we can make a difference in people’s lives has motivated the Hard Group to make donations to those most in need, especially in the communities in which we operate. Therefore, it makes frequent donations to the Childhood and Adolescence Fund and the Municipal Fund for the Elderly, both managed by the Public Ministry of the State of Santa Catarina.
In addition to the commitment to specific foundations, Hard Group encourages their employees to also do their part. Therefore, internal campaigns are carried out to collect school materials, clothes, blankets and food. By doing so, our support reaches the main agent of change in the world: the people.
