Steel Linning Machinable and sandable industrial maintenance liquid epoxy system

Two-component, black liquid epoxy system that contains high temperature wear and iron loads, resistant to wear. It has characteristics similar to steel. Suitable for the recovery of steel or iron castings, pipes, machine bases, bearing houses, bushings and others. Applicable by brush and in thicknesses from 1 to 2mm.

Main Applications

STEEL LINNING RESIN + STEEL LINNING HARDENERS form a non-thixotropic two-component epoxy system with high resistance to abrasion due to iron loads. Used in industry for maintenance and repair of materials that are subject to intense wear and high temperatures.


  • Steel Linning Resin (1,500 kg)
  • Steel Linning Hardener (0.150 kg)
  • Mixing ratio: 100g resin to 10g hardener
  • Working time at 25 ° C: 15 minutes
  • Total cure at 25 ° C: 72 hours
  • Maximum working temperature: 110 ° C
  • Recommended thickness: 5 – 10 mm
  1. The surface to be coated with STEEL LINNING should be clean, sanded and preferably sandblasted and dry for good resin adhesion.
  2. Where product adhesion is not desired, two layers of Z 15 LC release agent should be applied.
  3. STEEL LINNING HARDENER should be added to STEEL LINNING RESIN and then require a mixture between the two components using a metal spatula. For larger quantities, a mechanical homogenizer is recommended. It is essential to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  4. Once homogenized, the product can be brushed or spatulated at the application site.
  5. When the ambient or parts temperature is below 15 ° C, apply a heat source to heat the parts and resin at a temperature of at least 25 ° C. This procedure will provide the perfect cure of the resin which consequently will promote the maximum mechanical resistance.
