VED-1000 Hard  is a blanket formed by a laminated, reflective, corrugated aluminum sheet, bonded to a high resistance polymer film through a thick layer of asphalt-rubber that is adherent to several substrates, which forms a waterproof and protecting barrier.

and asphalt rubber.

Application temperature (surface): 13°C to 45°C
Work temperature:: -40°C to 82°C
Storage temperature:: 5°C to 25°C

  1. Before applying VED-1000, the surfaces must be perfectly clean, dry, and free from dust and oiliness.
  2. Cut VED-1000 in the desirable size (with scissors, stiletto or knife).
  3. Remove the protective film and apply it to the desired location, pressing the surface of the VED-1000 and the joints with the VED-ROLLER metal roller, so that, there are no air bubbles left. At the edges, make corners of the VED-1000 round in order to decrease the likelihood of displacement.
  4. Apply it in good weather conditions (dry surface) with temperatures above 13°C and below 45°C.
  5. It is not recommended for areas where there are ponds or permanently accumulated water.
  6. When there is a need of overlapping or splicing, 8 cm of longitudinal overlap (length) and 15 cm of transverse overlap (width) are required.
  7. For application on porous substrates, such as masonry, concrete, fiber cement, raw wood and rusty metal, VED-PRIMER (asphalt primer paint) must be applied beforehand, waiting 6 hours for the paint to dry before applying the blanket.
